Here are some of the amazing skin benefits of facial steaming-
Steam opens up your pores and helps loosen bacteria and any buildup of dirt for a deeper cleanse. It leaves your skin better able to absorb the vitamins and antioxidants in your skin care products, like the certified organic Kakadu plum extract in our range.
Promotes circulation for glowing skin
The warm steam causes perspiration which dilates blood vessels and increases circulation. This boost of blood flow nourishes your skin and delivers oxygen.
Steam hydrates the skin by helping to increase oil production, naturally moisturising the face.
Promotes Collagen and Elastin
The increased blood flow experienced during a steam facial promotes collagen and elastin production resulting in firmer, younger-looking skin.
The feeling of warm steam on your face is relaxing. Add some soothing scents using herbs or essential oils for another whole level of calm!
Here are some suggestions:-
- Rosemary- good for anti-ageing
- Lavender – for stress and insomnia
- Parsley – a natural astringent and heals acne
- Geranium – a natural astringent
- Eucalyptus – relieves nasal decongestion and acne
- Fennel – contains anti-aging antioxidants

So are you ready for that facial steam? If so here’s what you need to do-
Prepare to steam over a bowl or sink of hot water
Grab a big fluffy towel and choose your spot (remember comfort is key! So chose a comfy spot).
Pull your hair back s it’s off your face and cleanse using a gentle exfoliating cleanser.
Pour 4 to 6 cups of boiling water into the sink or bowl.
Let heat reduce so as not to burn your face. Have a seat, drape your towel over your head and the sink, and hold your face 10 cm above the water.
Raise or lower your head for more or less heat and lift a corner of the towel to cool off as needed.
Steam your face for 5 to 10 minutes.
Rinse with lukewarm water and pat dry.
Apply a hydrating & nourishing facial cream. Like our Kakadu Plum Facial Cream which is infused with certified organic Kakadu Plum extract, the highest Vitamin C-rich fruit on the planet.
Our nourishing antioxidant cream intensively hydrates and replenishes the skin, helping to reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles and leaving your skin looking revitalised and healthy.
